We have now gone through all the replies of the survey and made all the changes that were voted through. This is the rule set the majority of the voters went for, we went with the majority result of the survey for every change (or non-change). I thought the late-in-the-week squabbles had some good points buried in them here and there. So how about a rule preventing the outing of simmers' sexualities in secrets? I'm still thinking of how to word it, maybe something like:

Due to what I've got going on in my life at the moment, I've stepped down as owner of the comm and have handed the reins over to hooptytrib and this week's secrets post will be my last. Thank you everyone for your support and understanding during the changes the comm has gone through over the last few years. Please be understanding during the adjustment

I'm looking at adding some more mods to the simsecrets family. I'm not sure how many as yet, but ideally enough so that we can have a rotating roster again. I thought about doing a poll on this, but then I decided that it wasn't necessary. Starting immediately there will be a change to what secrets are acceptable - and what are not. I am no longer going to accept any secrets that include name calling or personal attacks. I'm not sure where the line will be with negative secrets, but if it comes across ( Read more... )

This is a request that's been made a few times, so I thought I'd put it to the community to decide. Some other secret comms, such as ljsecret and fandomsecrets have specified comment threads for each secret, so all responses to secret 1 go under that thread only, and so on. Is this something you would like to see here, or would you prefer to leave the comment set up as ( Read more... )
